As someone who only has a passing knowledge of soccer, I’ve liked your recaps. Curious to get your quick take on the third place match. We were rooting for England because my partner is English and the match seemed kinda bonkers compared to other matches we watched throughout the tournament.
I appreciate that! Yeah, there wasn't much focus on defense (from either side) in the third place match, hence all those goals ... a bit ridiculous, but entertaining!
Brilliant as always. The Masaka kids from the Uganda orphanage were the best part of the halftime show. Their energy is unmatched and their joy is contagious.
I was quite puzzled by the Eurovision-style half time show but all in all, it added a touch of light-heartedness to the game. The 106 minutes of suffering weren't in vain after all : )
