"I do not appreciate it when the haters are right, like when they said working out would improve my sleep and then it did."
I cannot tell you how enraged this makes me when I (mental health professional) go for a little run and then actually do feel better. It's so obnoxious and I am annoyed with myself and my profession in that moment each and every time.
I too have fallen into the Rooster trap and my explanation for it is that it’s an example of “the campus novel” in TV form but completely divorced from the hellscape that campuses have now become. Perhaps I would have stayed on the academic path if this is what awaited me 😅
Why do I always forget how much I love a list of things that someone likes. Just - these things make me happy and maybe they will make you happy too! Yes.
I love this series but part 1 was particularly interesting to me because I have decided (and started!) a Ulysses read along and I'm glad to hear others are doing similar things! Yay for aspirational reading goals 😆
I really loved this, Clara! I enjoy reading articles like this where people talk about things that make them happy, they're a great cozy read and they inspire me to try new things sometimes! I'm curious about that show you mentioned (def checking it out at some point!!!) and the music recs. Thank you for sharing, looking forward to more of this!
Your footnote content and placement are always little treats to read
my pride and joy, friend, as you know !!!

it’s literally the worst thing to ever happen to me.
Ha! Always. So true.

I was too embarrassed to admit how much I liked Rooster because I was like am I a Boomer? What’s happening? Thanks for validating my choices.
