thank you so much for writing this so I don’t have to read anything else about it! and also the eyebrows callout — I literally startled when I saw them in that second picture. I thought even the youngs learned from that ‘90s mistake?
There is something so American about monetizing one’s most humiliating moment, and - as you perfectly point out - with good hair to boot. I am embarrassed how excited I am to read this book. 🤓📚😭
Damn. She really did a number on her eyebrows. From the passages I've seen, you couldn't pay me to read that book (I don't need to know anymore about RFK Jr. or the women who find him attractive 🥴), but I love that she isn't shrinking into obscurity.
dying to read a post about Chiara please, unfortunately no amount of highbrow reading will erase the images of her wedding to Fede from my brain so I shall be SAT for this (also loved the CC reference)
The most exhausting part of her writing wasn’t the 294757747 metaphors or the 736463 redundancies but the fact that she’s just so pleased with herself. She’s not a good writer but she knows what sells so she’s reallllllly milking it.
Idk, I do think there’s something hilariously post-internet about the theme “if you’re going through some shit, you can always just become tumblr Joan Didion.”
This is really wonderful writing and made me laugh - so thanks!! I'd rather listen to Bobby Brainworm lie about vaccines than read another word of her Look-a-me Tortured Prose.
Elena Gilbert! Great pull- that reference gave me a visceral response (I remain a VD apologist but am always ready to discuss all the heaving breath acting).
If nothing else I guess this goes to show how far our culture has come when it comes to women who canoodle with politicians, etc. I remember well the days when a woman caught with her pants down around of a man of any importance (I’m thinking of all the scandals of the 80’s and 90’s) was nothing more than a blatant whore after his money and fame, while the men were always the sad victims of their own hubris. We as a nation were titillated by these women’s stories, but no one ever actually wanted to hear it told by them.
My how times have changed (for the better?)!
Speaking of the 90’s, perhaps oddly, Ms.Nuzzi’s look reminds me a lot of Carolyn Bessette Kennedy’s, she of the platinum blonde and barely there eyebrows everyone coveted almost as much as JFK, Jr. way back in the day.

But still, bad (hacked away never to reemerge) eyebrows. Sadly, that’s the most permanent damage she will never recover from

Me too honestly I love a deranged woman on a rampage x
Me too 😂🎯
No desire to read this book - but if Clara reads it, I will be reading her thoughts on it!
Would def read Clara’s thoughts on it!
Okay, after hearing about her OTHER affairs, maybe she needs to take a break from public 🥴
Now I simply NEED to know your thoughts about the Chiara Ferragni situation!
I remain so morbidly fascinated by the whole thing!
The Panettone of it all!

I second the Chiara piece! I didn’t even know about the scandal (I googled it after you mentioned it here). Please! ❤️🔥
Love this post you are a great writer.
thank you Lorraine! x

There are so many things she’s going to regret in ten years, not the least of which is this brow design decision.
I was not expecting a Vampire Diaries reference in this piece but I'm here for it!

To hell with this spoiled, unethical woman who screws sources.
Unforgivable to anyone with media ethics.
Plus, her writing sucks!
NEED the Chiara Ferragni piece, no one else’s thoughts matter

Interesting that Nuzzi conflates the word/idea ‘politician’ with ‘man’ not person, as in people, some of whom may not be men.
