I felt this, "it’s finally dark, which takes so long in June". I am normally an Early Riser but my anxiety and I have been staying up til 1AM. Five hopeful things: the no kings protest (people were funny, creative, and mad), it is still chilly in the mornings here in the PNW, new Lorde album soon, soy milk in coffee, taking up sewing. It feels nostalgic and creative and somehow anticapitalistic despite being Very Expensive.

After reading this I went straight to the NYRB website and bought three books including Stoner.

Such a lovely roundup. I am writing incredible essays in my brain on my increasingly frequent long walks, translating them when I’m sitting at my computer is another story. 🙃 Also hello, 5’0 girlie here!!! And ty for the shoutout 🖤

My 5-year-old and I were jamming to “Sally, When the Wine Runs Out” by Role Model literally this morning. Can confirm it's a mood booster and total bop for all ages!

As a fellow Gemini and est. 1989 Millennial girlie, I very much appreciated the Olsen Twins shoutout. My curled hair lewk in college was directly influenced by So Little Time and I still stand by it.
